Working Harder Than Ever

Hi! So we had 2 Thanksgiving dinners! Elder Casalino and I were trying to eat at the 2nd one and we got about halfway through it. Luckily, since the house was so crazy that day anyway, so they figured that we were halfway through seconds, so no one was offended. We felt bad but were just too full! It was really good though!
I am sorry to hear about Lee. That is so awful and I can only imagine the pain she went through.
Our baptismal date was postponed until further notice :(. It's okay. Best if someone is not ready, right?
Elder Casalino and I are working harder than we ever have, and coming up with the least success we've ever had. I think the Lord is testing us.
Tell Dad that I hope that everything will work out okay. And also I believe his duck story! Three ducks with one shot?!
This city just came alive now that Christmas is coming and everyone seems to be a lot more friendly!
Lisa wrote me a letter and she said that your recipe for cookies was the best she'd ever made!
Wasn't Blake with Elder Gerard before? There could possibly be a Mike's Deli because there is an Arthur Street (Not certain though!). Why do you ask?
We had a lot of rain today, and some strong winds. I can only imagine how it was at home last week. That must have been super massively cold! Blake knows all about COLD now!
Anyway, I have to e-mail the mission President now.
Tell Kallie B and the dogs hi for me. How is Cole?
Bye for now- Cody

Happy Thanksgiving!

My new companion is Elder Casalino, the same missionary who lived in the apt. when I was in Kingston. He likes "people" to be specific. Has alot of energy! He will be a great comp. Hooray! He also really likes cows? and Italian food.

Things are going well here. We have a baptismal date! Excited!!

So there is a blizzard going on back home? Well, hope this e-mail finds you safe. Things are going fine here. Yes, I did receive the card. Thank you so much.

We have a couple of people who invited us to Thanksgiving dinner with them, which is nice. So weird to not be home though for this... Anyway, love you all lots!!

Tell Kallie and the dogs hi for me. Tell Kallie that I liked her list of things to do (and also tell her to brush her teeth! No more cavities!)). Happy Thanksgiving to everyone at home!!!

Testify in the Bronx!

Hi! Sorry I didn't get a chance to write yesterday.
Some of the other missionaries in the other apartment in the Bronx were robbed, so we didn't get a chance to e-mail.
The Bronx is cool! Our area has Yankee Stadium inside of it.

Tell Taren hi for me and that it was so cool to see some baptism pictures!!

We don't have bedbugs, but we do have "roaches"!

I don't have alot of time, today, but I know that this Church is true and that God does work miracles among the children of men, and that Jesus is the Christ, and that through him all might be saved. And I close in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Investigator!

Hello! You guys have a letter in the mail from me! Yay for letters! It's kinda short and blah but at least you got one!

The greenie comes today in about a half hour or so. He will be comps with Elder Casalino. This is kind of weird because I'm almost 8 months out. Can you believe it? You know what I figured out? My 8 month mark is on Cole's birthday!

So, our investigator, was taught the Plan of Salvation on Monday and she is super stoked to hear more. 'Tis Awesome, Yes!!!!

So what was this about Millie tipping over like a statue?
Blake said something about it in his e-mail, but you didn't mention it in yours.

We are going to go to these ice caves when the greenie gets here (yes, Mom we will use our heads).

Oh, by the way, that picture of Kallie is very cute.

What have you heard from Blake? Anything super-cool and exciting? Oh, well.
Bye for now. Tell the dogs, Gracie and Kallie hi for me. -Cody

Spoke in church

Elder Morris is from a town called North Bend. Nice guy. At the current time, I am in a Tripanionship or "Trifecta" as Blake would say, with Elder Morris and Elder Casalino, because the greenies don't get here until next week. Elder Casalino is going to be comps with one of the greenies. We are excited for him to arrive.

Things have been pretty crazy the past week because we have covered both the Kingston area and the New Paltz area. BUSY!
Your letter hasn't gotten here yet, I expect that it should get here today.

Today we went for a hike in Minnewaska State Park. It was pretty quiet there and so beautiful.

Tell Kelsey's car sorry about Ben! Why am I not surprised it was hit by the neighbor? I got a letter from Liz yesterday! She told me that she was at our house a couple days ago? I need to write people. I swear need to staple something to my head to remind me.

So Meleea has won yet more tickets? That is crazy! Blake tells me that he finally got my letter (about time!). He was pretty excited to hear from me it seemed. I miss him. I need to set up some sort of way to talk to him at Christmas...I haven't spoken to him since January!

We lost our keys to the Kingston Corolla until yesterday. We were quite grateful to find them!!

I spoke in church on Sunday. I spoke on the Book of Mormon. Speaking of which, I would like you to read a scripture on the power of the Book of Mormon, from the Bible. Isaiah 29:11-14 &18.

Bye for now. Tell Kallie and the dogs Hi for me. Cody

New Companion!

Hello! My new companion is Elder Morris. He's from West Bend, Oregon and a great guy. I have had only 1 companion from Utah so far. Elder Mills goes home tomorrow. Will miss him! He has our address and phone number so expect a call (I told him to call Mom). So the missionary in our apartment who has been on his mission the least amount of time is the one who will be training the greenie. He will do a good job.

I am a little irked at my camera. It's been having issues saving pictures: Sorry, I will send some home soon!

You know what they have a lot of here? Poison Ivy! No, I haven't had a case of it, but poor Elder Casalino in my apartment has been plagued with it!

I did get your letter and the envelopes, so expect a letter. I loved the "addressee" on one of them.

I laughed when read that the dogs wouldn't come outside because the hose was on!

Well I need to go. Tell Kallie and the dogs hi for me! Cody

New Area!

Hey! First of all there is a ward up here in Kingston. Elder Mills is pretty relaxed. He goes home in 3 weeks, so he is very trunky!! (what we call a missionary who is ready to go home). Blake has gained a little weight judging by those pictures you sent me? Anyway, the area is pretty yes, but it is full of crazies- literally! They closed down a mental institution up here and instead of transferring the patients, they just let them out!
On Monday, after district meeting, we went to Orange County Choppers and saw some of the bikes there. Yesterday, one of Elder Mills' old companions came from Russia to visit his old areas. He was very nice (no Blake wouldn't have met him, he lives in what was formerly Stalingrad), and he said he was moving to Utah. That made Elder Mills happy because Elder Mills is from South Jordan. Today, we helped one of the Senior Couples move into a different apartment. Yes I did get your package. Thank you! That is great that Dad's surgery is finally approved. Anything else going on back home? Tell Kallie and the dogs hi for me. Bye for now. - Cody
